Quentins' Diary

Day |

I don't know who could ever happen to read this,
but it's my way of trying to safe my sanity.

Right now I'm at the only safe place I know out here.
Safe for now.
A few days ago I found an abandoned ambulance Station and
managed to get one of the cars running,
I could even get a decent amount of fuel from the other wrecked vehicles.
Yeah, siphoning gas is illegal, or was.
Anyway, there even was some food left in the fridge, most of it rotten by now,
but it turned out the canned tuna was good enough to eat.
Earlier today I went a bit further outside the city than usual,
along the way there have been mostly ruins.
Found a barn and looked around, it was cleared out, nothing useful left.
No signs of anybody staying there, no signs of anything.
Haven't seen anyone in along time...

I looked around some houses on my way back and found some sheets of paper.
Now I'm sitting here, in the basement of a partially collapsed shabby house, writing this
and thinking about my rations, supplies,
how long the fuel will last and if I will ever see another human being again.

The beginning of the end lies behind us, the end of the beginning awaits.
